Today we had the pleasure of hunting with Tim Crabtree and Vann Trantham. The hunt started out slow and finished strong, with limits for the 3 of us by 10:00 AM. The birds worked well and we ended up with 7 mallards, 7 teal, and 7 widgeon. We hunted on the new CICC property South-East of the Colusa Refuge.

Dan and Maggie Shay from Southern California hunted with us today. The hunting was good with a lot of big ducks around, that seemed to respond well to the call. We hunted the Guide blind off of Packer Rd., and were done by 10:00 AM

Today we were back at it again trying to get enough footage to make a show. The hunting was good and the conditions were perfect for captureing the hunt on film. Between the 4 of us we ended up with 3 limits, however, if our barrels were not bent this morning we would have had 4 without a problem. Oh well, that is how it goes some days.

Today I hunted with Sparky, the host of M2D Camo's, Livin' The Dream Television show. We had a great day of hunting and got some great footage that will be seen on his television show in the future. We ended the morning with limits for 3 of us.

Today, I had the pleasure of taking my soon- to- be replacement, hunting with me. We had a great time. My son Cade is only 4 years old and has already developed the sickness and want's to be in the duck blind every day. Wonder who he got that from? We hunted on the East side of Delevan Refuge and managed to kill 6 teal and a bull sprig by 8:30 AM.

All though we did not have ant clients out today we still have to hunt, we just can't stand ourselves. Today Ultra and I hunted the new property South of Colusa. The shooting was not red hot but we were able to scrape together 10 birds by 9:30 Am.

Since the day before was so good we went back and were treated to a fun teal shoot. Shamus and Steve from Napa helped Jim Robertson (background) take down 28 birds by 10:45.

The action was red hot today. We had a total of 10 hunters in the field resulting in limits for all by 11:00 AM. There are tons of northern birds down and they are responding to the call well. Had a great afternoon hunt today. Greg Macdonell and his 2 sons shot limits at one of our blinds on the East Side of the Delevan Refuge. The birds were thick and the flight was non-stop. Great shoot and great weather!

It looks like the northern birds have finally arrived in the valley. Today we had 4 blinds shooting with a total of 14 shooters in the field. 3 of the blinds had limits by 11:00 AM and the other blind finished with limits by 3:45 PM. Scott Seidenstricker of Reno, Nevada hunted pigs with us today. The hunt was short and sweet with the end result being a nice 120 pound sow dead and loaded in the truck by 8:00 AM. He made a perfect shot at a mere 50 yards and could have killed 3 others. If you are interested in a pig hunt we still have availability in December.
