Sprig Weather

Nothing but sprig flying today! Flock after flock of them! At least the guys ended the season with a strap full of great eats!

Sunny and 70

Great shoot for these guys today! The had the hot blind and made there shots count ending up with a great strap of ducks on this no weather day!

Last Friday of the season!

Took Cade out of school today since we had what looked to be our last storm of the season coming. Well the storm wasn't much but we did kill a few birds and got to skip a day of school!

Meat Eaters!

Pretty slow in the wetland this morning! Ended up with 6 real ducks and this pair of meat eaters that the guys thought were teal!

Not many ducks but the geese were flying.

Not sure what happened to the ducks today but the geese were around and we did our best to fill the straps with them!

Teal, Teal, and more Teal!

I'm not sure where they all came from but we will take them! Haven't had teal around like this al season but the last couple days they have been thick!

No weather but we have ducks!

Another great day in the field! We are nearing the end now and hoping for a strong finish!

It continues

The weather is cooperating and so are the ducks! Looks like we will end the season with some more good action!

Another foggy morning

 Another foggy morning and a couple great shoots for the guys! Lots of teal around today and a lot of shells burned to get what we got on the straps!

The fog is back!

When it comes to killing ducks you can't beat the fog! What a great day in the field with all of our guide blinds shooting lights out! It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the fog stick around for the rest of the season!

Big winds and rain

Despite the weather this morning it was a pretty weak flight. What looked to be a banner duck day turned into a just mediocre one. Not a huge duck flight and they were tough to hit in the wind but we made the best of the day and ended up with some decent straps!

Getting ready for the big water!

With all of the recent storm activity and more on the way the big water is coming! All of the creeks drains and rivers are full so here comes the floods! We took time today to prepare for the flood waters and got all of our equipment dialed in and running good so that we would be ready to fight through it and end the season with a bang!

The attack of the wigeon

Great shoot today in the rice! Lots of birds right off the bat!! Some that wanted nothing to do with us but the wigeon listened well and decoyed right in! Got to love it!

Little bit of rain and wind

Not wide open but not a bad shoot either! The bird seem to be getting a little more decoy and blind shy each day! Today a couple limits worth hadn't figured out the trick just yet and found their way on our strap!

Fog!

Good shoot for the guys today in the fog! It was a little slow to get started but when it lifted a little the flight was pretty good!

Good morning hunt and a good afternoon as well

 Not wide open but for this late in the season and the mild weather a great shoot! The sprig are pretty much a given every day and the rest of the straps have been a mix of everything.

Wind but no rain!

Lots of sprig in the air today but very few other birds. We made the best of the day and ended with some decent strap. If the sprig limit was 7, we could of shot limits of all bull sprig.

Nothing but sprig

The sprig cooperated today in the rice but that was about it. Hopefully tomorrows weather will get them stirred up!

Mixed Results

A couple of the blinds shot decent today. The weather was high overcast but nearly dead calm. The wind picked up late morning and the sprig came out to play in the rice.

I've seen better but I've seen worse

The hunting has been pretty slow the last couple of days, decent weather but not much flying. We are having fun and making the most of the opportunities that present themselves.

Slim pickings this morning

The flight was non existent this morning but we managed to get a few to play the game.

No weather, No problem

Paul and Demetri laid the hammer down this morning! The birds worked in nice and tight and the guys shot great! We ended up with a nice mixed bird strap for the 3 of us.

Still Killing!

Another good day of hunting. The flight was pretty weak given the conditions but the guys shot well and made the best of their opportunities!

The rice was nice!

It was a great day of hunting again today! All of the blinds shot well, the storm had the birds hitting the rice and we were there to greet them!

A little weather did the trick

Plenty of birds again this morning! There wasn't a huge flight but the birds that were around decoyed well and the guys made short work of them!
