Today I had the pleasure of guiding Greg and Reg Jensen, from Roseville, California. We were up in the hills at first light and it did not take us long to find our intended quary. The first pig that we saw was a lone boar that gave us the slip, but we connected on the next group of pigs that we saw. There were a total of 6-8 pigs in the group. They had crossed a road in front us and we began our stalk. We got to within 30-40 yards of them and could see them in the brush but could not get a good shot. Then all of the sudden they came out into the roadway and offered a moving shot. Greg was the first to fire narrowly missing a sow that was roughly 150 pounds, while Reg laid the hammer down on a 140 pound sow making a exellent running shot at 100 yards. We saw some other pigs but were unable to make a play on them before they bedded down for the day. Another great hunt with a couple more satisfied hunters.
