Mallards and Sprig

It was quality over quantity today! We ended up with two limits of big ducks for the strap, and were happy to have them considering the poor conditions

The Big Moon is taking It's toll

The damn full moon is kicking our ass the last couple days! Between the moon and the lack of weather the birds are feeding all night and sitting all day making for some tough hunts but we are still getting some birds and making the best of it.

Tracked LIMO

The LIMO is now tracked and looks bad ass! I will put it to work tomorrow and see how it does!

Decent, but not great today

We had calm overcast skies this morning and the birds just didn't want to finish. The flight was pretty dismal but the birds that did commit did it right!

Clear and Windy, Just what we needed!

The clear skies and ripping North wind treated us good today! Plenty of birds around and they decoyed great making for some in your face action and quick limits! Had the attack of the swans today at one point and had to get a picture, not bad for an I phone!

Blue Skies and Owen's 1ST Duck!

Little Owen Harrison bagged his first duck this morning on his first duck hunt as a licensed hunter!! He missed a few but connected on this trophy bufflehead! The flight wasn't that great but we ended up with 14 big birds on the strap and were out of the blind by 9:30. Congrats Owen!!

Plenty of Action!

Right now all of our blinds are cranking out birds and we are having a blast! I'm not sure how long this will last but all I can say is keep them coming!

Good Times

The good times just keep on rolling! We have had great weather, plenty of birds and blinds full of clients eager to kill some birds!

Kids Day!

Very Rarely do I get the chance to take both of my kids hunting together, but today we made it happen! My buddy Rock called last night to see if I wanted to come up and bring the kids to shoot some geese, and both kids said YES! We got into the blind, Quinn equipped with her trusty .410 and $400 dollars worth of Hevishot, and Cade with his 20 gauge and a few boxes of Hevi-metal and we awaited legal shoot time. Before long it was go time and the birds started flocking into the decoys and the kids eyes lit up as flock after flock came in! The high winds made for some tough shooting but the kids did a great job, each putting several birds on the ground! There were a total of 7 shooters and we ended up with 60 geese when the smoke cleared.

Decent weather = Decent hunting

The morning dawned windy and overcast with very little rain. The flight was pretty weak given the conditions but we made the best of the opportunities that were given to us and ended up with nice straps of birds out of two of the guide blinds!

Another day at the office

Had a decent hunt today with these guys! Ended the morning with 14 quality birds on the strap. There didn't seem to be as many birds moving today and I had a hell of a time getting them in close with the calm overcast skies. The bulk of the birds would lock up and come down to 60 yards and then hang up. The ones that did sale out came in nice and tight and the guys made short work of them!

Clear and killing!

It's hard to beat a good hunt on a clear day. It was clear and calm but the birds worked good and most shots were under 15 yards! Sure is cool just to watch them work when you can see very color on them glistening in the sun as they make their final approach!

Not great, but not bad either!

This morning dawned clear, cold, and windy! We headed to the blinds with high hopes but it was slower than expected. We still had decent shooting out of all the blinds but it appears that we either lost some of the birds we have had or they were just sitting in the refuge. Tomorrow being a shoot day should get them moving!

The Killing Continues!

Another great day for us! We had clear skies following yesterday's storm and a slight north wind. Not as many ducks in the air today but enough to make for some heavy straps!

From rain and big wind to sunshine! What a day

The morning started out with rain and 50 MPH winds and plenty of birds! It ended sunny with a 10MPH wind and plenty of birds! Heavy straps for the clients today and plenty of spent shells to keep the ammunition companies happy!

Still going strong

The overcast skies slowed down our killing some but we still had good hunts today! The blinds shot well and the birds that worked came in feet down!

Another great day!

Limits, limits, and more limits! It has been a fantastic last several days for us and today didn't disappoint either! We shot 3 of the guide blinds today and they all had plenty of action! The end result today was 74 birds between the 3 blinds by 10:00!
