I have spent way too much time in the office lately, so I figured I would go out and hunt with Ultra and Ed Ray this morning. As soon as shooting hours came we could see ducks every where, but we were having a hell of a time getting them to decoy. There were tons of sprig flying and they would not even get to within 60 yards before they peeled off and went into the huge grind of ducks that were in the fields to the East of us. Slowly but surely ducks started to peel out of the grind and started working our field. We poked away at them one at a time and ended the morning with 18 birds. We had alot of spoons on the strap but they came in so pretty that we could not help ourselves. All in all it was a good hunt and despite the stubborn ducks we made the best of it.
