Today we headed down to the goose pit in Sutter. I checked it out yesterday and there were a couple of thousand geese sitting in the field, so we decided to give it a try. We got to the field early and put out the decoys for what we hoped would be a good shoot. As hours rolled around we could hear the geese flying around but could not see them through the fog. We just sat tight and kept calling when ever we would hear birds that sounded close and sooner or later we would catch them sneaking through the fog headed straight for the decoys. We had a great shoot and ended the morning with a nice strap of late season geese.
