1-13-11

Today I guided Ray, Tom, and Robert from San Diego, California on a duck hunt. There were a ton of birds flying around but they would not listen to the call. The only ducks that seemed to want to work were pintail and we finished up with them in quick order. We put in our time and managed to scrapr up a couple of widgeon, three teal and a snow goose to add to our limits of pinatil. It seems to happen this way near the end of every season. The birds are tired of being shot at and very wary to the call and decoys. Maybe a change in the weather will be enough to improve the shooting. Either way you look at it you can't kill them from the couch and hunting sure beats the hell out of going to work!
